Nail fungus, also known as Onychomycosis, is one of the most common diseases of the nails. It can affect either fingernails or toenails. It is contagious to others, spread in a moist environment such as showers and wet locker-room floors.

The fungus grows in the “nail matrix” the area of the toenail closest to the foot, it can also infect and grow inside the nail itself or just under the nail.

 FAQs

  • Safety is our greatest concern.

The treatment is safe, and you can return to your daily life immediately.

  • If the aftercare instructions and shoe-sterilization are not used. the fungus can return in which case further treatments are needed.

  • During an initial consultation, your provider will recommend the number of Skin Tightening treatments needed to achieve your goals.

Results can be seen in as little as one treatment. However, the number of treatments will depend on the severity of your skin laxity, with a typical patient requiring a series of 3 to 5 treatments.

  • The improvement in skin laxity from a SkinTyte treatment series is long-lasting.

  • Skin Tightening is typically performed as part of a series, spaced approximately 4-8 weeks apart, depending on the depth and coverage area of the treatment, as well as the health and integrity of the skin being treated.

  • Patients can expect mild redness and swelling, similar to a sunburn sensation, for a few minutes following the procedure.

  • All three wrinkle reduction treatments can be combined at the same day visit:

    1. Anti-aging injection (Botox®)

    2. Skin Tightening

    3. Filler

Botox® relaxes wrinkles but it does NOT fill the collagen and fat that we lose as we age. Thus, facial fillers are used under the eyes and in the lower half of the face.

Skin Tightening uses thermal energy to heat subdermal tissues, stimulating collagen development.
